Med Management Technology LLC (hereinafter “MMT”) respects individual privacy and values the confidence of their customers, employees, consumers, business partners and others. MMT strives to collect, use and disclose personal information in a manner consistent with the laws of the countries in which they do business, and pride themselves on upholding the highest ethical standards in their business practices. This EU-US Privacy Shield Policy (the “Policy”) sets forth the privacy principles that MMT follows with respect to personal information transferred from the European Union (EU) to the United States.

MMT complies with the EU-US Privacy Shield Framework as set forth by the US Department of Commerce regarding the collection, use, and retention of personal information from European Union member countries.  MMT has certified that it adheres to the Privacy Shield Principles of Notice, Choice, Accountability for Onward Transfer, Security, Data Integrity and Purpose Limitation, Access, and Recourse, Enforcement and Liability.  If there is any conflict between the policies in this privacy policy and the Privacy Shield Principles, the Privacy Shield Principles shall govern.  To learn more about the Privacy Shield program, and to view our certification page, please visit

This Policy applies to all personal information received by MMT in the United States from the European Economic Area in any electronic format.

For purposes of this Policy, the following definitions shall apply:

“MMT” means Med Management Technology LLC an Idaho based Company in the USA.

“Personal information” means any information or set of information that identifies or is used by or on behalf of MMT to identify an individual. Personal information does not include information that is encoded or anonymized, or publicly available information that has not been combined with non-public personal information.

“Sensitive” means personal information that reveals race, ethnic origin, sexual orientation, political opinions, religious or philosophical beliefs, or trade union membership, or that concerns an individual’s health. In addition, MMT will treat as sensitive personal information any information received from a third party where that third party treats and identifies the information as sensitive.


Processor On Behalf

MMT acts as a processor on behalf of its clients, providing medication management services that enable organizations to manage their customer medication administration information efficiently in such ways as reducing medication errors, and increasing client efficiency. In this capacity, MMT acts on the instructions of its clients and does not control the personal data processed on behalf of its clients.  MMT is not responsible for the content of the information it processes, which may include personally identifying information, nor is MMT responsible for the way its client’s customers treat personally identifying information included in medication administration record.

For such data processing, MMT enters into agreements with its clients in the EU specifying that the EU client recognizes that it is a data controller for the purpose of the EU Data Directive and is in compliance with the corresponding Member State national data protection laws. Any data processed by MMT is only disclosed to third parties at the request and direction of its European client as the data controller, or when required by law. We also may be required to disclose an individual’s personal information in response to a lawful request by public authorities, including to meet national security or law enforcement requirements.  In cases of onward transfer to third parties of data of EU individuals received pursuant to the EU-US Privacy Shield, MMT is potentially liable. Any information that our EU clients identify as sensitive will be treated as such.

We will provide an individual opt-out or opt-in choice before we share their data with third parties other than our agents, or before we use it for a purpose other than which it was originally collected or subsequently authorized.  To limit the use and disclosure of your personal information, please submit a written request to the contact information listed below.


Where MMT receives personal information from its subsidiaries, affiliates or other entities in the EU, it will use such information in accordance with the notices provided by such entities and the choices made by the individuals to whom such personal information relates.

Access: MMT acknowledges that individuals have the right to access the personal information that we maintain about them.  An EU individual who seeks access, or who seeks to correct, amend, or delete inaccurate data, should direct their query to the contact information listed below.  If requested to remove data, we will respond within a reasonable timeframe.

Security: MMT will take reasonable precautions to protect personal information in its possession from loss, misuse and unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration and destruction.

Enforcement: MMT will conduct compliance audits of its relevant privacy practices to verify adherence to this Policy. Any employee that MMT determines is in violation of this policy will be subject to disciplinary action up to and including termination of employment.  MMT is subject to the investigatory and enforcement powers of the Federal Trade Commission (FTC). 


Dispute Resolution:  In compliance with the EU-US Privacy Shield Principles, MMT commits to resolve complaints about your privacy and our collection or use of your personal information.  European Union individuals with inquiries or complaints regarding this privacy policy should first contact MMT at:
